Get an Anthropic (Claude) API key

Create a key in the Anthropic Console and add credits to use Claude models.

Open Anthropic console

1. Create your account

  1. 1Go to console.anthropic.com and sign in, or create an account.
  2. 2Verify your email and phone number if prompted.

2. Create the API key

  1. 1Open Settings → API Keys (console.anthropic.com/settings/keys).
  2. 2Click "Create Key".
  3. 3Name the key (for example "Bizwax") and create it.
  4. 4Copy the key right away — it is shown only once.

Anthropic keys start with "sk-ant-".

3. Add credits

  1. 1Go to Settings → Billing (Plans & Billing).
  2. 2Add a payment method and purchase a starting credit balance.
  3. 3Set spend limits if you'd like a safety cap.

4. Keep it safe

Treat an API key like a password. Anyone who has it can spend on your account. Never post it publicly, commit it to a git repository, or paste it into a chat. If a key is ever exposed, revoke it in the provider console and create a new one.

Now put it to work

Add the key once in Bizwax and every tool on the platform can use it. The provider bills you directly for what you use, at their rates, with nothing added on top.
