How to change where a QR code points after it's printed

The pattern printed on the poster never changes. Where it sends people can — if you set it up right.

The pattern stays; the destination moves

A dynamic QR code doesn't encode your real URL. It encodes a short link you control, which redirects to wherever you point it. The black-and-white pattern is fixed once printed, but the redirect target is just a setting — so you change the destination without touching the print.

When this saves you

  • A campaign page moved or the URL had a typo.
  • One code needs to send to different things at different times.
  • An event's link changes but the printed signage can't.

Setting it up

The one rule: the code must be dynamic before you print, because a static code's destination is locked in. Bizwax's QR Reactor is built around re-pointable codes — you print once and update the destination whenever it changes — which is exactly the situation printed codes tend to end up in.
