Strategy

Business ideas built on what you already have.

Every list of side-business ideas was written for somebody with a different set of skills, savings and evenings. BIGThink starts from yours: tap through a short profile, and get up to three ideas that fit, each checked against the live market so you can see who is already doing it and what people pay.

What it does

A profile you tap, not an essay

What you are good at, what you enjoy, how much time you have, plus optional budget, goal, risk appetite, resources and location. Tap the tags that fit or type your own, so it takes minutes, not an afternoon.

Ideas that lean on you

Up to three genuinely different ideas from Claude, each built on the strengths and resources you named and steered around the things you said you dislike.

The numbers up front

Every idea shows a startup cost, time to first dollar, income potential, effort and a fit score, so you can rule one out in ten seconds instead of after a weekend of research.

Checked against the real market

Perplexity searches each idea: demand, who is already doing it, what people pay, trends, notes for your area, and a green, yellow or red verdict, with the sources it read so you can check them.

What to do this week

Each idea ends with first steps and honest risks, so the next move is small and specific rather than a business plan.

Kept, and remembered

Every batch is saved to your Library, and your profile is remembered so the next run starts where you left off.

How a session goes

  1. 1

Tap through the profile. Three questions are required, the rest you can skip.

  2. 2

Select Get my ideas. Up to three ideas appear, each with its numbers.

  3. 3

A moment later each idea gets its market check, with sources.

  4. 4

Pick the one you would start, and copy it, or ask for a new batch.

An example idea, Cooking for busy locals, with a fit score of 9 out of 10, startup cost, time to first dollar, income potential and effort, then the idea, why it fits and how it works.
Each idea comes with the numbers that decide whether it is worth a weekend.
The first profile question, What are you good at, with tappable skill tags such as Writing, Selling, Fixing things and Driving.
Tap what fits, or type your own. Sixteen short questions, most of them optional.

What people use it for

  • The employee who wants a side income but has three tabs of half-ideas and no way to choose
  • The tradesperson with a van, tools and weekends who wants to know what they could sell besides their hours
  • The creative who wants something that uses their skills without becoming a second full-time job
  • The person planning to leave a job next year who wants to test an idea against the market first

Which key it uses

BIGThink calls Anthropic or Perplexity. On a paid plan, add a key for any of them under Account → API keys and that provider bills you directly — no credits spent. Without a key, runs spend from your included plan credits instead, and you are told when that happens.

Questions

Is this financial advice?
No. The ideas and the market check are a starting point. Check demand, pricing and any licensing your area needs before you spend money on one.
How current is the market check?
It is a live web search at the moment you run it, with the sources listed so you can read them yourself. Markets move, so run a new check before you act on an old batch.
Does this use my API key or my credits?
A batch is one run on Anthropic's Claude for the ideas, then one Perplexity search per idea for its market check, so up to four runs. They use your own keys where you have added them, otherwise credits.
Where does my work go?
Everything you make is saved to your Library automatically, so it survives closing the tab. You choose what, if anything, to share to Creations.
